The new Audi Q7 has a more minimalist appearance on the outside. The upright Audi Singleframe grille now has vertical inlays in an L-shape. These, says Audi, make it clear at first glance that the new Q7 is a flagship model, in contrast to other ‘A’ model Audis.

The new Audi Q7’s headlights have been repositioned, and they feature HD Matrix LED technology. Range-topping new Audi Q7 have digital daytime running lights in the upper edge.

On new Audi Q7 Vorsprung models, the headlights have additional laser beam light. These use 24 LEDs and a high-power laser diode, and are immediately visible via a blue ambient light. They significantly increase the high beam range.

At the rear, the new Audi Q7 Vorsprung has digital OLED rear lights. These feature four diagonal light signatures. Cleverly, the new Audi Q7’s rear lights also illuminate when stationary, if other road users approach within two metres.

The new Audi Q7 is available in three new colours – Sakhir Gold, Ascari Blue and Chilli Red. There are new alloy wheel designs, which range up to 22-inches in size.

The new Audi Q7 has updated infotainment inside. Spotify and Amazon Music third-party apps are now available, and there are regular over-the-air software updates.

All new Audi Q7 have leather upholstery, electric heated sports seats, the Audi Virtual Cockpit digital instrument display, climate control and rear privacy glass.

The new Audi Q7 measures 5072mm long, 1970mm wide and 1748mm tall. The boot ranges between 780 litres and 1908 litres, and the new Audi Q7 has a standard electric bootlid with optional foot-responsive gesture control.

The new Audi Q7 has a range of efficient yet powerful petrol and diesel engines.

New 2024 Audi Q7: engines and performance

The most affordable new Audi Q7 engine is the 45 TDI quattro, a 231PS 3.0-litre V6 turbodiesel engine. It offers 0-62mph performance in 7.1 seconds. As on all new Audi Q7, an eight-speed automatic gearbox is standard.

The more powerful new Audi Q7 55 TDI quattro produces 286PS and does 0-62mph in 6.1 seconds. Alternatively, there is a petrol-powered new Audi Q7 55 TFSI, which has a 3.0-litre V6 engine that produces 340PS. It does 0-62mph in 5.6 seconds.

Every V6 engine in the new Audi Q7 line-up can tow a hefty 3.5 tonnes. They have mild hybrid technology to save fuel – Audi will reveal fuel consumption and CO2 figures nearer to launch.

There is also a thrilling new Audi SQ7 range-topper, which uses a 4.0-litre V8 twin-turbo engine. This produces 507PS for 0-62mph in just 4.1 seconds. The new Audi SQ7 gains sportier styling to mark it out from other models.

All new Audi Q7 have quattro all-wheel drive and adaptive air suspension. Move up to Black Edition models, and sport adaptive air suspension features, along with larger alloy wheels.

Top-spec new Audi Q7 Vorsprung have a standard sport differential, which helps deliver better, more planted handling in corners.
