Just like Audi, Cupra and SEAT, Skoda is part of the Volkswagen Group. But unlike the other brands which rely on sporty looks and premium-feeling interiors, Skoda goes big on offering the most car you can get for your money. For that reason, Skoda models tend to be great family transport, giving you more space for less money than rivals from inside and outside the VW Group.
However, while Skoda offers cars that focus on delivering great value, there are still deals to be had, with a range of deposit contributions and low APR PCP agreements waiting to be signed.
Skoda has a broad range of models, both in terms of size, ranging from the small family hatchback Skoda Fabia to the vast Skoda Superb Estate, and in terms of powertrain, from small petrol engines, PHEV, electric and even old-school diesels.
And once you've narrowed down the Skoda that best fits your needs, there are often two PCP deals to choose from. Opt for internal combustion and two-year PCP agreements with 0% APR tend to require higher monthly payments, while longer-term offers attract higher APR but frequently come with a deposit contribution, too. EV deals tend to be the sweetest, with 36-month contracts and 0% APR, and even the odd deposit contribution thrown in.
The Skoda Kamiq is all about understatement. So while it may not shout about its abilities, it’s a really versatile small family SUV that’s spacious enough to take on the hard yards of all a family can throw at it, yet it's also upmarket enough to tempt buyers away from bigger and more expensive cars.
Skoda offers two PCP deals on the Kamiq to suit different circumstances. There's a maximum 36-month deal with a minimum 20% deposit detailed below that features a useful 0% APR, or a 48-month option that comes out at £260 per month and has 6.4% APR, but a handy £2250 deposit contribution. The mileage limits for each deal are a realistic 10,000 per year, and the customer deposit required is similar for each deal for comparison purposes.
The Skoda Scala is a rival for traditional family hatchbacks like the Ford Focus or Volkswagen Golf, but at a more affordable price. The Scala does a decent job of being comfortable and solid to drive, and it's available with a lot of tech. A solid all rounder, if you're looking for a decent family hatchback, the Scala is worth a look.
Skoda offers two Scala PCP deals. There's a maximum 24-month term available that has 0% APR featured below, and a 48-month option. This latter PCP deal is £266 a month and requires the same £4230 customer deposit as the deal below. It has 6.4% APR and a useful £1750 deposit contribution, and this deal comes with a realistic 10,000 miles a year.
The Skoda Elroq is one of the best electric cars on sale right now, and a great gateway to electric car ownership. It features a sharp if understated exterior and a well equipped and very spacious interior. Range anxiety is also tempered by the fact the Elroq is one of the best performers on this score in its class.
There are two PCP deals available on the Elroq. Detailed below is a maximum 36-month term with 0% APR, while Skoda also offers a longer 48-month option. For the same customer deposit and 10,000-mile per year limit as below, this 6.4% APR deal costs £351 a month thanks to a £2750 deposit contribution available across the Elroq range.
The small hatchback is a threatened species, but even a short drive in a Skoda Fabia is enough to make you wonder why. The current Fabia is the best yet, looking sleeker and more stylish than its boxy predecessors, yet still offering impressive practicality, while it's also comfortable and easy to drive.
Skoda is currently offering two PCP deals on the Fabia. We're fans of opting for 0% APR deals, so you don't pay any extra for your finance, so the maximum 24-month PCP is featured below. Skoda also offers a longer 48-month option. For the same customer deposit and 10,000-mile per year limit as the deal detailed below, this 6.4% APR deal costs just £211 a month thanks to the £1750 deposit contribution available on the Fabia range.
Over the years, the Skoda Kodiaq has become a byword for large family transport, thanks to the fact that its offers versatility and value for money in impressive measure. The all-new model offers the same blend of space, but adds more tech, an upmarket interior, and a wider choice of powertrains, too.
There's a maximum 24-month term 0% APR PCP deal featured below and we've selected a more practical seven-seat petrol version here. Skoda also offers 48-month deals at 6.4% APR but with different deposit contributions depending on the powertrain you go for. Opt for a TSI petrol or TDI diesel and you get £2000, while the five-seater only PHEV version gets £4000 towards your deposit.
The Skoda Octavia has always been a brilliant option if you're looking for maximum space for minimal outlay. However, as with other new Skoda models, the latest Octavia has seriously upped its interior quality game, putting in-house rivals like the Volkswagen Golf more firmly in its sights than ever before.
Skoda gives you a choice of PCP deals if you're looking to get behind the wheel of a new Octavia hatchback or estate. There's a 0% APR deal limited to 24 months, and we've featured that below. There's also a longer 48-month option at 6.4% APR which comes in a £271 a month thanks to a £3000 deposit contribution. You can pick up the car's first two services for a flat fee of £299, too.
It was always a big swing to name a car the Skoda Superb. However, ever since the original was released four generations ago, the Superb has lived up to its name by giving buyers an enormous, comfortable and spacious car for the price of one that's much smaller.
On either hatch or estate Superb models, Skoda gives you the option of a 0% APR PCP deal limited to 24 months, which you can read about below. There's also a 48-month option with a handy £3250 deposit contribution that helps cut monthly payments to £371. This deal is at 6.4% APR and features the same 10,000 mile limit and customer deposit as below. You can also get the car's first two services for a flat fee of £299.
The Skoda Enyaq takes all the typical Skoda traits and adds electric power to the mix. That means the Enyaq is a no-nonsense, versatile family car that undercuts its rivals on price, yet beats them when it comes to standard equipment and practicality. The Enyaq is of the best of the EV bunch regardless of price, and now improved thanks to a recent facelift.
Whether you choose the Enyaq in its standard SUV form or the swoopier Enyaq Coupe, Skoda offers a 0% APR deal for a maximum of 36 months. This is detailed below, and we've chosen the SUV. There's also a 48-month deal. Based on the same customer deposit and 10,000 mile a year limit, monthly payments are £391 thanks to a £2750 deposit contribution.
The Skoda Karoq has been around since 2018, which you'd think might make it vulnerable to newer, fresher rivals. However, there are still very few family SUVs that can match the comfort and practicality offered by a Karoq. There are plenty of powertrain options, all are well equipped and none will cost the earth to buy or run.
Skoda gives you a choice of PCP deals. Go for the 0% APR deal and you're limited to 36 months and a minimum 20% deposit, but that means you pay less than £340 a month, as detailed below. There's also a 6.4% APR 48-month option requiring a smaller deposit and useful £3000 deposit contribution, making monthly payments £314.
Skoda tends to offer more than one PCP option on each model in order to ensure that as many buyers as possible can afford to sign up for a deal. Customer deposits tend to be of a similar amount regardless of the deal. Opt for 0% finance on internal combustion-engined cars and these deals tend to be capped at 24 months, while EV deals on 0% are often maximum 36-month contracts.
All models are generally available with 48-month PCP with higher APR, but deposit contributions are frequently offered to keep the monthly payments affordable.
Skoda offers no fewer than five different finance options. Skoda Solutions Personal Contract Plan (PCP) is very popular, as is Hire Purchase, where you pay larger monthly payments to own the car, or Contract Hire, where you lease the car for an initial payment and monthly fee, but there is no option to own the car at the end of the agreement.
Unlike other carmakers, Skoda also offers Finance Lease, which lets you rent the car but share in the future resale value, and Lease Purchase, which works like Hire Purchase but with lower monthly payments, as you defer the big balloon payment until the end of the agreement.
Skoda Solutions PCP is the most popular of its finance products. The major appeal of PCP over a lease is that you can make an extra payment, often called a balloon payment, at the end of your agreement in order to own the car outright. This payment is based on how much the car is worth at the end of the PCP agreement, plus any extra costs – for example, if you went over your mileage limit.
You don't have to make this payment – you can return the car or take out a new PCP agreement on a new car. However, you won't own the car until you make this payment, but will be the only owner named on its V5C logbook.
Skoda allows a significant amount of flexibility with its PCP deals, for example letting you choose a term of 18-48 months, and choosing an annual milage limit. As with all VW Group brands, Skoda posts its representative PCP offers based on a realistic 10,000 miles per year.
When signing up for a PCP deal, it's important to be honest about how much you're planning to drive, as going over the mileage limit incurs a cost per mile payment at the end of your deal. Skoda's website has a decent finance calculator which allows you to see how much varying the mileage impacts the monthly cost of a PCP agreement.
As it's a Volkswagen Group brand, Skoda uses the same engines, infotainment technology and chassis components as Audi, Volkswagen and SEAT. Skoda offers a wide range of models that use petrol, diesel, hybrid, plug-in hybrid and electric powertrains, all of which are used in other VW Group products.
That should mean that engines and tech are well developed, and any problems addressed as they crop up across the fleet.
