The BMW 3 Series really is a car that can do it all. Nice to drive, loads of tech and comfortable to travel long distances in, it's so good that you'd think a deal wouldn't be forthcoming. However, plug-in hybrid 330e models make for surprisingly decent value used buys. Check out the deal we found below.
If money is a little tighter, the MG HS could be worth a look. As a brand-new car it's become a regular feature on the UK's best-selling car of the month list, but is even more of a bargain if you opt for nearly new, as the car we're featuring shows.
And, now a brand-new generation of Audi A6 Avant has hit the road, could now be the time to snap up one of the last of the old models? Still nice to look at, and with a great interior, the outgoing car is keenly priced as a lightly used buy. As with the cars above, the car we've chosen is available for cash purchase or with a competitive PCP deal.
The BMW 3 Series is a car that's easy to recommend. Like a spirited drive? The 3 Series is right with you. Into your tech? The latest facelift introduced some nice kit from the 'i' electric cars. Add in the fact that it feels very well made and is decently practical, and you have a car that's hard to beat.
One other thing to note is that the plug-in hybrid 330e is an interesting used buy. This one-owner car would have cost £48,000 new, but with 18 months and 14,000 miles under its wheels, it's offered by a main dealer for under £30k.
The MG HS has been doing a great job of winning new fans, particularly since the second-generation model arrived last year. The reason for its popularity is no secret - the HS offers a combination of space, equipment and serious value for money that strikes the right chord with cost-conscious buyers.
If money is tight, then why not consider a barely used HS? The car we've spotted has less than 500 miles on the clock and comes in top-spec Trophy trim, with heated seats, a power tailgate and wireless phone charging. A new one costs £28,745, so this one saves over £6000.
If you're in the market for a large luxury car but are less keen on large luxury car prices, the outgoing Audi A6 Avant could be up your street. The A6 estate has recently been replaced by an all-new model, but the previous-gen car has an exterior design that still looks classy, while the interior remains a tech tour de force.
We spotted this A6 Avant in top of the range Black Edition spec. It's done just over 1600 miles since it was registered two months ago, with those miles costing the single owner over £6500 in depreciation.
