A 0% APR finance deal can be a great way of getting behind the wheel of a new car. It's something of a best of both worlds, as it gives you the convenience of paying monthly, but also means not having to stump up more than the car's on-the-road price for the privilege. Yes, most deals do require you to put your hand in your pocket to pay a deposit. But provided you're a little flexible on the model and trim you're after, or have a car to trade in, there are 0% car finance deals out there for the taking.
Even the best PCP car deals can incur interest (APR) over the length of the contract. Durations can vary from as little as 24 months right up to 60 months. This means that on top of your monthly payments for the car, interest will be added on top, resulting in higher monthly payments. What makes 0% APR car finance deals so attractive is, as the name suggests, you pay no interest over the term of your agreement.
The result is lower monthly payments and the fact that you're only paying for the cost of the car if you elect to settle the optional final payment. One thing to bear in mind though is that you might be required to put down a larger deposit than if you were paying interest on a PCP deal, but that's a consideration you have to weigh up with your financial circumstances.
So, if you're looking to get the cheapest car finance deals on the market, we've searched all the current manufacturer finance offers to round up the best 0% car finance deals just for you.
The Mazda CX-5 has been around for some time, and we think it's a great shame you don't see more of them around. A new version has just been unveiled, and will arrive on UK roads later this year. However, the outgoing model is nicely designed, and, with its well-equipped and luxurious-feeling interior, the CX-5 is an under the radar family SUV choice. An entry level CX-5 Centre-Line comes with all the kit you need and costs just £279 a month with 0% APR on a 48-month PCP deal as Mazda dealers clear existing stock ready for the new model.
The Citroen e-C3 is a great looking small car that just happens to be electric, too. It's also usefully affordable, as you can get an e-C3 Plus 83kW with a 44kWh battery for £236 a month thanks in part to the fact that the car qualifies for the £1500 government Electric Car Grant. The e-C3 is well equipped and spacious enough to be your only (small) family car, while the 0% finance means you're not paying any more for the PCP than the cost of the car. The small catch is the minimum 20% deposit, although that's not horrendous as the Grant helps lower the on-the-road price of the car.
The Ford Explorer might not be as familiar a name in the UK as it is over in the States. But the VW ID.4-based Explorer sold here bares no relation to the one sold in the US either. Our electric Explorer is a family SUV that can be had in three trims, Style, Select and Premium and three powertrains.
We've gone for mid-range Select with the extended range rear-wheel drive option, good for a claimed 374 miles. The Explorer is available on a 48-month 0% APR Ford Options PCP deal that includes a £3700 deposit contribution and the grandly-named Ford Power Promise, which gets you a free home charger and 10,000 miles of charging credit.
One of the best electric cars on the market, the recently upgraded Hyundai Ioniq 5 looks great, has a spacious cabin and promises up to 300 miles on a single battery charge. This feature-packed Advance spec car is on offer with 0% APR, a £1000 deposit contribution and a £1500 Hyundai Electric Car grant. The grant matches the one offered by the UK government, but for which the Ioniq 5 is too expensive to qualify. This deal also takes advantage of the fact that Hyundai lets you opt not pay a deposit, although this does result in higher monthly payments.
The MG4 EV is a decent looking small family EV with plenty of equipment and a bargain price. And that was before MG started adding discounts to make sure its stock of MG4s are encouraged off dealer forecourts before a new version arrives.
Monthly payments start at just £199 with 0% APR, provided you can put down just under £5000 deposit. Can't stretch to that? There's a 1.49% APR deal available with monthly payments from £329, but a customer deposit of just £291. Whichever you choose, you get a £3250 deposit contribution and £1500 MG Electric Car Grant.
The Peugeot e-5008 may not quite have the all-round polish of some electric SUVs, but it has an ace card up its sleeve that few rivals can match - it's a seven seater. Much sleeker than the family SUV it replaces, too, the e-5008 is an efficient and relaxing drive, while this top-spec GT trim car we've chosen is packed with tech and comes with 0% APR over 37 months, although it does require a minimum 20% deposit, which is a downside as Peugeot on-the-road prices have been creeping up.
The Renault 5 is one of the most eagerly anticipated new cars of 2025 and seeing one on the road can't fail to put a smile on your face. Renault's reborn supermini features a design that references at the past, while power comes from a thoroughly modern electric powertrain. We've chosen the entry-level model with the larger 52kWh battery that should be perfect for taking longer trips while making quite the style statement. The shorter-range 40kWh battery starts from £146 a month with 0% APR, and all Renault 5 models get the £1500 Electric Car Grant.
The new Skoda Kodiaq builds on the already impressive legacy of the outgoing model by offering even more practicality, space and well thought out features, making it one of the best large family SUVs on the road. The whole Kodiaq range is offered with 0% APRm and we've picked the deal below as it's the cheapest way to get behind the wheel of a Kodiaq with 0% finance. It's for an entry-level Kodiaq SE with five seats, while an upgrade to a seven-seater version means monthly payments start at £440 with a customer deposit of just over £7000.
The Toyota bZ4x is an all-electric family SUV loaded with standard tech, it's very comfortable to drive and comes with a battery range of up to 270 miles. A facelifted model is on the way, so Toyota is currently offering a number of incentives to encourage you to snap up the outgoing bZ4x Motion or Vision models. If you opt for 42-month PCP, you get 0% APR and a £4000 deposit contribution, plus Toyota currently has an Electrified Saving promotion that knocks another £3750 off the price. That means you could drive a bZ4x Motion, including a Panoramic View Monitor, wireless smartphone-compatible infotainment and 18-inch alloys, for £329 a month.
The Volkswagen ID.4 was designed to make the switch from petrol or diesel-powered driving to electric as seamless as possible. And while it's not without its quirks, the ID.4 is a spacious, well equipped family SUV that's relaxing to drive and features a long electric range. Volkswagen has two PCP offers on the ID.4, either a three-year deal with 0% APR and a £4000 deposit contribution, or a 6.9% deal over four years with £7000 towards your deposit. This deal is on a well-equipped Pure Match model. Volkswagen is also offering an Electric Car Grant Guarantee of £1500 on selected models.
If you've found your perfect car on 0% finance and can afford the monthly repayments, unfortunately it's still not quite a done deal yet. As with any loan you take out, a zero interest car finance deal requires your credit score to be checked, and the better your credit rating the more likely you are to be accepted. An offer like this tends to require a strong score as there's less in the deal for the lender, so it's good to check your score in advance and take action to improve it to make sure you seal the 0% deal.
While you're not paying any interest on a 0% APR car finance deal, you will still need to put down a deposit. You might find you need a larger deposit compared with an equivalent offer where you're paying interest each month. The good news is that in some instances the manufacturers will support this with a deposit contribution.
It's also worth bearing in mind how much the monthly payments will be on the 0% APR deal, and how they compare with one that does have interest, as sometimes they can vary quite a bit. It's important that you take the time to ensure you can afford each and every monthly payment before you sign up for any deal.
As you'll see from our list of the best 0% APR car finance deals, there's a wide range of different cars available, from brilliant small cars to large electric SUVs, so the car you choose really comes down to your needs and budget. One thing to be mindful of though is 0% APR isn't offered as widely as it once was, meaning you might have to compromise on make and model in order to find a deal that works for you. One trend that seems to be here to stay is that electric vehicles are more regularly offered with 0% APR, in order to make switching to electric that bit more palatable.
Offering a 0% APR car finance deal is a great way for manufacturers to attract potential buyers. One major stumbling block for potential buyers signing a finance deal is the idea of paying more for the privilege of buying in instalments. If you agree to waive that fee, and make the buyer pay no more for their car than they would if they did with cash outright, then you might be in a better position to persuade someone to sign on the dotted line, especially if a rival car dealership doesn't have such a tempting offer on the table.
You can, but you'll have to look a bit harder for these deals and have a very strong credit score on hand before you get approved for the deal. 0% APR finance on a used car isn't that common these days, but large dealers tend to offer a range of financial products and promotions including cashback, extra warranties and servicing deals and so in in order to get you behind the wheel of a used car.
Any deal where you get a free loan is a good idea. Because you're not paying interest each month you can potentially save yourself thousands of pounds over the period of the loan agreement. Remember though that some of these deals can run over four years, so make sure you're picking the right car for your needs for both now and in the future, and make sure you take the time to understand how much you'll be paying both in advance, as deposits for 0% APR deals can be larger, plus your monthly payments.
