The BMW 3 Series is a car that's easy to recommend. Like a spirited drive? The 3 Series is right with you. Into your tech? The latest facelift introduced some nice kit from the 'i' electric cars. Add in the fact that it feels very well made and is decently practical, and you have a car that's hard to beat.
One other thing to note is that the plug-in hybrid 330e is an interesting used buy. This one-owner car would have cost £48,000 new, but with 18 months and 14,000 miles under its wheels, it's offered by a main dealer for under £30k.
The Renault 5 is one of the most eagerly anticipated new cars of 2025 and seeing one on the road can't fail to put a smile on your face. Renault's reborn supermini features a design that references at the past, while power comes from a thoroughly modern electric powertrain. We've chosen the entry-level model with the larger 52kWh battery that should be perfect for taking longer trips while making quite the style statement. The shorter-range 40kWh battery starts from £146 a month with 0% APR, and all Renault 5 models get the £1500 Electric Car Grant.
The Volkswagen ID.4 was designed to make the switch from petrol or diesel-powered driving to electric as seamless as possible. And while it's not without its quirks, the ID.4 is a spacious, well equipped family SUV that's relaxing to drive and features a long electric range. Volkswagen has two PCP offers on the ID.4, either a three-year deal with 0% APR and a £4000 deposit contribution, or a 6.9% deal over four years with £7000 towards your deposit. This deal is on a well-equipped Pure Match model. Volkswagen is also offering an Electric Car Grant Guarantee of £1500 on selected models.
The latest Suzuki Swift features a much-improved interior that's packed with equipment, even on entry-level models. It's also super affordable and manages to keep the character that made its predecessors such likeable little cars.
This deal requires a £4666 deposit, but you get 0% APR over two years and monthly payments of just £109. There's even a reasonable 8000-mile per year mileage limit, giving you enough to succumb to the charms of this small hatchback.
When it launched in 2020, the Volkswagen ID.3 was the firm's first proper ground-up electric car. Early versions have a slightly less stable infotainment system and a few lower quality feeling trim pieces, but if that's not a worry to you, those first ID.3s are now very affordable, giving you a lot of electric car for not a lot per month. This one-owner ID.3 has done under 40,000 miles, which means its battery warranty runs until 2030 or for over 60,000 more miles.
The Ford Puma took home the gong for the UK's best-selling new car in 2023 and 2024, and shows no signs of stopping in 2025. Picking up where the now-departed Fiesta left off, the Puma is fun to drive, surprisingly spacious for what's actually quite a small car, and very well equipped right across the range.
We've chosen a Puma Titanium, which is the entry-level trim, to keep the monthly cost low. For added convenience, Ford has lots of new Puma models waiting in stock, meaning you could be behind the wheel of a brand-new car in just a week.
The Audi Q4 e-tron is a posh and practical electric SUV crammed with technology, and, for extra peace of mind, it comes with an excellent battery range.
This S Line 40 model benefits from an Audi deposit contribution of £7750, which helps drop monthly payments down to £509 over a four-year PCP deal with a 6.9% APR. The mileage limit is a useful 10,000 per year, too.
The Nissan Qashqai is one of the UK's best-selling cars, and the head-turning facelift of the current model makes it one of the most distinctive. The new look doesn't come at the cost of the big reason it's so popular as a family SUV though, as features like fold-flat rear seats and wide rear door openings are all present and correct.
This deal is for a Qashqai N-Connecta with the glass roof pack to brighten up the interior. It's offered with 5.49% APR and £2250 towards your deposit, while Nissan offers varying deposit contributions and APR depending on the model you choose.
The Kia Sportage has loads of interior space and is packed with plenty of equipment, and now benefits from a facelift with a new look designed to bring it in line with the firm's electric models. However, its no deposit and £1000 deposit contribution deal remains. As with most PCP deals, though, you can adjust things – if you do have a deposit, or car to part exchange, you could drive down your monthly costs further.
If you're shopping for small cars, then the Suzuki Swift is definitely worthy of consideration. Even the entry-level model has all the equipment you need, the interior has been treated to a big upgrade compared with its predecessor, and it's even really quite good fun to drive. The zero deposit option means a 48-month deal at 5.9% APR with a £500 deposit contribution, but if you can afford a deposit, there's a 24-month 0% APR option with repayments as low as £109 a month.
The Skoda Elroq is the firm's latest EV and the smaller sibling to the Enyaq. The Elroq is perfect for small families as it has loads of interior space, it's pretty fun to drive and boasts a great range, especially now you can get the larger 82kWh battery in the cheaper SE L trim.
Skoda is offering a choice of PCP deals on the Elroq. There's a £2750 deposit contribution on a four-year 6.4% APR deal, making an SE L 85 £365 a month, or 0% APR over a 36-month term. There's a generous 10,000-mile annual limit, too, and we're featuring the Elroq SE L 85 here as it's the cheapest way to get the long-range battery. You can also pick up the car's first two services for a flat fee of £199.
The Ford Explorer might not be as familiar a name in the UK as it is over in the States. But the VW ID.4-based Explorer sold here bares no relation to the one sold in the US either. Our electric Explorer is a family SUV that can be had in three trims, Style, Select and Premium and three powertrains.
We've gone for mid-range Select with the extended range rear-wheel drive option, good for a claimed 374 miles. The Explorer is available on a 48-month 0% APR Ford Options PCP deal that includes a £3700 deposit contribution and the grandly-named Ford Power Promise, which gets you a free home charger and 10,000 miles of charging credit.
The Cupra Formentor was the first 'proper' Cupra, rather than the Ateca and Leon models adopted by Cupra from SEAT as it became a stand-alone brand. And pretty impressive it is, too. The Formentor blends SUV and estate to good effect, looking like little else on the road, and drives nicely, too. It's not quite as sharp as a hot hatch, but the Formentor is a nice fast family choice, made all the more appealing with a solid nearly-new discount.
The Skoda Fabia is one of the finest small cars money can buy. It's comfortable, cheap to run and features a spacious interior that can cope with four adults with ease. This 2025 Fabia benefits from Skoda's most recent round of updates to the Fabia, and is in mid-range SE L trim, which is Skoda speak for a more comfort-oriented spec. That means it has useful kit like heated door mirrors and a reversing camera to compliment the wireless smartphone compatible infotainment.
