The heavily facelifted Tesla Model Y arrives in the UK in March with a starting price of just under £61,000.
The new Tesla Model Y will have one trim at launch, called simply the Launch Edition. It uses the same powertrain as the current Model Y Dual Motor, with a range of up to 353 miles on a single charge. More models will likely follow later in the year.
As well as the dramatic visual redesign, inspired by the recent CyberTruck model, the revised Model Y has an upgraded interior with extra sound deadening and a stiffer body struction. The standard panoramic glass roof has had its solar reflectivity improved to better regulate the internal temperature.

New 2025 Tesla Model Y: exterior and interior
The new Model Y has a distinctive lighting design that's inspired by the Tesla Cybertruck. That means full-width LED light bars front and back, with the main headlights below the front bar. It comes in only two colours – silver and black– and rides on 19-inch or 20-inch wheels in a range of designs.
Inside, the revised interior is available in black or white. The design hjas been revamped with a new centre console, the steering wheel from the latest Model 3 (with indicator stalks rather than the much-maligned steering-wheel buttons) and ambient lighting on the door cards. The Model Y seats four, and all seats get heating and cooling. There are two 65W USB ports at the front, which are powerful enough to charge two laptops.
As well as the 15.4-inch infotainment screen up front, there's also an 8.0-inch screen in the back for rear-seat passengers to control various features or play games.
New 2025 Tesla Model Y: motor and battery
The Model Y continues to use the same powertrain as the pre-facelift Dual Motor model, with a 75kWh battery and 384PS electric motor. However, aerodynamic improvements mean the range is up to 353 miles on a full charge, which is 22 miles more than the previous version. Tghe 0-60mph time is 4.1 seconds, down from 4.8 seconds in the pre-facelift car.
