
Honda has given its Civic Hybrid hatchback a spruce-up for 2025.
First released in 2022, the Civic Hybrid now has revised looks inside and out, although it remains mechanically the same. Honda says the changes have been in response to feedback to customers, with the revisions intented to make the Civic look sportier on the outside and feel more premium inside.
Honda will hope the changes will keep the Civic Hybrid competitive against rivals that include the likes of the Vauxhall Astra, the Volkswagen Golf, the Skoda Octavia and the Toyota Corolla.
Updated 2025 Honda Civic: price and release date
The revised Honda Civic Hybrid is available to order now. Prices start at £33,795 for the entry-level Elegance trim, rising to £35,395 for the Sport trim and £38,695 for the Advance trim.

Updated 2025 Honda Civic: exterior and interior
The changes to the revised Civic are all aesthetic. All versions have been given a refresh with a new gloss black grille and tweaked headlights, with new, bolder bumpers and new 18-inch alloy wheel designs on the Advance and Sport grades, the latter of which are painted black.
The front fog lights have been removed – Honda says improvements in LED headlight tech mean they're no longer needed. But new a paint colour has been added – Seabed Blue, which replaces the Premium Crystal Blue hue previously available. You can also spec your Civic in Platinum White Pearl, Crystal Black Pearl, Sonic Gray Pearl and Premium Crystal Red Metallic, and as an option add accent colours in Berlina Black, Nordic Silver and Patina Bronze.
Inside, there's a new black lining on the roof and pillars and matt chrome detailing around the air vents. The Advance trim gets fancy ambient illumination and footwell lights, and the Sport grade gets a 10.2-inch digital driver display. All models get a wireless charger on the centre console.

Updated 2025 Honda Civic: engines and gearboxes
The revised Honda Civic is mechanically unchanged, which means it still comes with a two-motor e:HEV hybrid system, using a naturally-aspirated four-cylinder petrol engine and an electronic continuously variable transmission (e-CVT). It makes 184PS and 315Nm, sent to the front wheels for a 0-62mph time of 7.8 seconds. The official fuel economy figure is 60.1mpg.

Updated 2025 Honda Civic: trim levels
The three-trim range continues for the revised Civic. The entry-level model – the Elegance – comes well equipped with keyless entry and start, heated front seats and a wireless charger, as well as front and rear parking sensors and a rear-view camera. It rides on 17-inch alloy wheels and includes adapative cruise control as part of Honda's Sensing suits of active safety systems. An auto-dimming rear-view mirror is also standard.
The mid-spec Sport trim features 18-inch black wheels and adds a heated steering wheel, synthetic leather and fabric upholstery and the larger 10.2-inch digital driver's display (the standard size is only 7.0 inches). There's an extra air vent in the back, and black exterior elements instead of chrome.
Go for the top-spec Advance model and you'll get two-tone alloy wheels., a panoramic glass roof, a premium Bose sound system with 12 speakers (instead of eight), leather upholstery, electric front-seat adjustment and a sunglasses box, as well as pockets in the back of the front seats for rear-seat passengers.
