GWM has overhauled the Ora 03 electric hatchback range, cutting the entry-level price and adding a sporty new GT variant.
Formerly known as the Funky Cat, the Ora 03 now starts at £24,995, a £6000 drop on the previous base model. The new price means the Ora 03 is now more closely aligned with rivals like the new Renault 5.
The Ora 03 range now starts with the new Pure model, which replaces the earlier Pure+ but has the same 48kWh battery and a 192-mile range. It remains well kitted-out, but those wanting extra features can opt for the Pro model, with a larger battery and 261-mile range.
New for 2025 is the top-spec GT version, which has sporty design elements inside and out, as well as extra features including a heat pump.
Updated 2025 GWM Ora 03: price and release date
Pre-orders for the updated GWM Ora 03 open on 21 January, with the first deliviers expected in March. Prices start at £24,995 for the Pure model, £28,995 for the Ora 03 Pro and £32,995 for the new GT trim.

New 2025 GWM Ora 03: exterior and interior
The revision of the Ora 03 range is a reshuffling of the trims rather than a facelift, so the look of the car remains the same as earlier models – cutesy and eye-catching. However, the new GT variant has some stylistic extras worth talking about, including 18-inch alloy wheels with red detailing, red brake calipers, and wheel-arch extensions. The front and rear bumpers have been redesigns and there's a roof-mounted spoiler, too.
Inside, all models have a 10.25-inch infotainment screen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and navigation. A wireless phone charger is also included, as is a 360-degree camera system, rear parking sensors, keyless entry and start, and a facial recognition system that will tweak the car's settings to your preferences when it recognises that you're in the driver's seat. The GT model also gets a panoramic sunroof, launch control and a heat pump, which is not standard in other models.

New 2025 GWM Ora 03: motors and batteries
The GWM Ora 03 Pure model comes with a 48kWh battery and a range of 193 miles on a full charge. It connects to a 171PS electric motor driving the front wheels, which gives it a 0-62mph acceleration time of 8.3 seconds.
The Pro and GT models uses the same motor but with a larger 63kWh battery that extends the range to 261 miles.
