Jeep has announced prices for the first new Compass models, with the order books opening later this year.
Hybrid, plug-in hybrid and full-electric versions will all be availabale, but the hybrid and full-electric models go on sale first, costing from £35,700 for the First Edition trim. More affordable versions will follow.
The all-electric Compass is a first for the brand, with a 310-mile battery range on the First Edition. Future models will boost that range up to an impressive 402 miles, and a four-wheel-drive model with up to 372 miles is due, too. The third-generation mid-size SUV will replace the current Jeep Compass, which has been made since 2016.
The new car is built on parent company Stellantis's STLA Medium platform, which also underpins cars like the Peugeot E-3008 and E-5008, and the Vauxhall Grandland. As well as the electric version, Jeep has confirmed hybrid and plug-in hybrid versions, and of course it wouldn't be a Jeep without the option of all-wheel drive.
Rivals, as well as the Stellantis cars mentioned above, will include the likes of the Kia Sportage, Hyundai Tucson and Volkswagen Tiguan.
New 2025 Jeep Compass: price and release date
The order books for the new Jeep Compass open in Q3, with the first deliveries expected in the last quarter of 2025. Prices for the Compass First Edition e-Hybrid model start at £35,700, while the First Edition electric model starts at £39,200.

New 2025 Jeep Compass: exterior and interior
Although it's based on similar mechanical bits to its Stellantis stablemates, the Jeep Compass is higher to give it the ground clearance and off-road ability that its customers will expect. As such, there's 200mm of space under the car, and it's 150mm longer than the second-generation Compass, with a longer wheelbase and short overhangs as the front and back.
The style is influenced by the smaller Avenger as well as the now-obligatory heritage Jeep design cues, such as the seven-slot grille. Matrix LED headlamps are available, and there's a choice of six colours – Hawaii green is standard, while optional hues are Antartica white, Amazonia greeny brown, Yosemite grey and Vulcano black. There's also the option of a black roof. The e-Hybrid modle rides on 18-inch alloy wheels while the full-electric model has big black 20-inch wheels.
Inside, there's a dashboard that features a large 16-inch touchscreen for the infotainment system, linked to a 10-inch digital driver display. There are various other touch controls too, continuing the industry trend for eschewing physical buttons. A head-up display is available, too. A 550-litre boot, with a 40:20:40 split rear seatback, adds to a 34-litre front storage compartment.

New 2025 Jeep Compass: engines, gearboxes, motors and batteries
Jeep has confirmed hybrid, plug-in hybrid (PHEV) and electric powertrains for the new Compass, although the First Edition models are only available in hybrid (called e-Hybrid) and electric forms.
The hybrid system uses a 48V system that allows brief electric-only driving around town, and delivers 145PS of power.
Eventually, there will be an impressive three full-electric models of the Compass. Sales start with the front-wheel-drive version with 213PS and a range of 310 miles, while another front-wheel-drive model with 230PS and a range of up to 404 miles will follow, as well a dual-motor, all-wheel-drive model called the 4xe, with 375PS and a 375-mile range. Two battery packs are available – the more affordable 74kWh version or the long-range 96kWh unit.
The PHEV has 195PS from its petrol-electric system, with a 51-mile electric-only range.

New 2025 Jeep Compass: trim levels
Full details of UK trim levels haven't yet been announced, but the First Edition launch trim, which comes with 18 or 20-inch alloy wheels and LED matrix headlights.
Options include a Convenience Pack with a 360-degree camera system and blind-spot monitoring, as well as an ADAS Pack with predicitive adaptive cruise control, a head-up display and various other driver assistance systems. The Premium Pack upgrades the sound system, and adds full vinyl seat upholstery with the front seats adjustable electrically and loaded with a ventilation and massage function. A sunroof is also available, and the electric version has the option of a 22kW on-board charger.
