What’s not included in my cover?

  • Worn out parts. Protection against Failure due to wear and tear will end when your vehicle reaches 10 years or 100,000 miles (whichever occurs first). All the benefits of your plan will end should your vehicle reach 12 years of age or 120,000 miles, from the date of manufacture, without rebate, even if during the period of your plan.
  • Bodywork, paintwork, exterior and interior trim, cabriolet roofs, tailgate and bonnet lifting struts, catches, hinges, brackets, slides, runners, locks and barrels, keys and key fobs, seat frames, glass in windows and mirrors (heated or otherwise), headlamps, tail lamps and interior lighting, connectors, bulbs and burners (xenon) ,LEDs, bulbs, wiring, looms and connectors wheels and tyres, tyre valves and pressure sensors, exhaust manifolds and silencers, sub-frames, mountings and rubber bushes, carbonisation (soot) build up (in particular of catalysts, exhaust gas recirculation valves and diesel particulate filters), burnt out valves, fuel and coolant tanks, hoses, pipes, joints, unions and fittings, auxiliary drive belts, batteries (including hybrid drive batteries, auxiliary batteries and power packs) fuses, together with normal wear and tear of: brake discs, pads, drums, shoes and clutch linings.
  • Any non-mechanical or non-electrical parts.

Our discretionary cover is provided by Warrantywise who are trusted by more than a million motorists. They provide the highest level of warranty cover for your car's make, age, and mileage.

Extended Warranty is there for when your free 90-day warranty runs out. It covers mechanical and electrical parts, includes roadside assistance and has no excess on claims. The cover is available to purchase for up to 3 years for complete peace of mind.

Our retail plans are designed to provide the most comprehensive level of cover available for the age and mileage of your vehicle. We automatically select the most appropriate level of cover for your vehicle based on these factors. 

You can make an unlimited number of claims as soon as your cover starts, up to the value of your car when you purchased it. For example, if you bought your car for £20,000, you can make up to £20,000 worth of claims.

You will need to ensure your car is road legal, i.e. taxed, insured, current MoT and V5 Logbook in your name. You must service your car, at your own cost and in line with your manufacturer recommendations. You must keep proper records of the service history. If you don’t have your vehicle’s full-service history then you must bring its servicing up to date immediately (including automatic gearbox servicing). Please read section G about Servicing Your Vehicle.

After buying online from heycar you have 14 days to return your vehicle and can cancel your warranty within this period by contacting the team at heycar. You may also change or upgrade your cover within the first 30 days. Contact the WarrantyWise team on 01254 355100 or email upgrades@warrantywise.co.uk. You may not be eligible for a refund after the 30 day cooling off period has expired, or where you have made use of the warranty (ie; recovery, car hire, repair requests etc).
