Honda e:Ny1 Review 2023: front dynamic

The new Honda e:Ny1 is now £5000 cheaper as Honda slashes prices of the electric SUV to boost demand.

Prices for the electric Honda e:Ny1 now start from £39,995. That’s for the Elegance version, with the better-equipped new Honda e:Ny1 Advance also now costing £5000 less, at £42,195.

Previously, the new Honda e:Ny1 Elegance cost a hefty £44,995, with the new Honda e:Ny1 Advance costing £47,195.

Honda’s head of automobile Rebecca Adamson said it was a “new approach for the e:Ny1… we are proud to offer customers an exceptional blend of convenience and affordability”.

The company is inviting customers to start taking test drives of the new Honda e:Ny1 now. Ordering at the new, reduced prices opens on 23 April 2024.

Are there any deals with the new Honda e:Ny1?

Honda hasn’t just slashed the prices of the new e:Ny1. It is also offering special PCP deals, including one that includes a £3000 deposit contribution.

This £3000 saving is on top of the latest £5000 price cut, meaning customers are effectively saving £8000 on a new Honda e:Ny1.

Monthly payments for the three-year PCP deal start from £299, and it is subject to a low 1.9% representative APR, offering further savings.

And that’s not all. The new Honda e:Ny1 also comes with the Honda Five Year Care Package. This includes a five-year service plan, five-year warranty and five years of roadside assistance – all for free.

What do you get with a new Honda e:Ny1?

The new Honda e:Ny1 is very well-equipped. Even the Elegance comes with lots of features as standard, with top-spec Advance adding even more goodies.

The new Honda e:Ny1 Elegance has synthetic leather seats, which are heated in the front, plus an eye-catching portrait-style 15.1-inch digital display and an additional 10.25-inch digital instrument panel. It also has alloy wheels, rear privacy glass plus front and rear parking sensors.

The new Honda e:Ny1 Advance adds a panoramic glass roof, heated leather steering wheel and an upgraded premium sound system.

The Honda e:Ny1 has a growing number of rivals, including the Hyundai Kona Electric, Kia Niro EV, Vauxhall Mokka Electric, Peugeot e-2008, Jeep Avenger and Fiat 600e.

The new Honda e:Ny1 has a 69kWh battery. This gives it an official WLTP range of 256 miles. It can rapid-charge from 10% to 80% in 45 minutes.

The new Honda e-Ny1 is electric-only – but it does have a hybrid petrol sister car, called the Honda HR-V. The similarities are striking from the outside, although the Honda e:Ny1 does have a more comprehensive digital dashboard than the Honda HR-V.
