The Vauxhall Combo Life is now the only seven-seater that the company offers after it ended the popular Zafira MPV line.
Launched in 2018, the Vauxhall Combo Life is an ideal option for those that want to move larger groups, be that as a family car or even a taxi. In either case this comes with a spacious and useful interior area that delivers comfort and manages to keep the price less than the competition.
You can expect a great combination of internal space and versatility from ISOFIX to flat-folding second row seats – this can be used in many ways to make the most of all that space in this decidedly boxy looking car.
The latest version of the Vauxhall Combo Life has been for sale since 2018. There are three trims in the forms of Design, Energy and Elite. You also have the choice of petrol or diesel engines with two power levels for each and manual or auto transmissions.
Key rivals for the Vauxhall Combo Life include the sister car in the Peugeot Rifter and the Citroen Berlingo, or perhaps the seven-seater Dacia Jogger.
The Vauxhall Combo Life is a good option for anyone who needs those seven seats or wants the option to fold them down to use this as a viable van alternative too.
There is a choice of lengths and wheelbases allowing you to go for maximum size or something a bit more manoeuvrable in cities, for example.
In all cases you have the choice of two turbocharged petrol engines and two diesel options with the larger diesel offering the most torque for work-like needs. Thanks to a six-speed manual gearbox option there is plenty of control over how this power is used, keeping that versatility. You can even tow 1,500 KG if needed, with the car at full capacity.
While this is a front-wheel drive car only, it does use a version of Peugeot's Grip Control, which is a system that intelligently distributes power for maximum grip. You can also look out for all-weather tyre variants if you need to use this in more slippery conditions while staying in control.
The engines are not anything to get excited about in terms of speed, getting from 0 to 60 MPH on average in 12 seconds. But it does offer a comfortable ride with pleasant handling plus it's well sealed from wind noise adding to that feeling of riding in comfort. Combine that with soft suspension and this really is a vehicle made for longer journeys while staying comfy.
A Vauxhall Combo Life not for you? We've got 1000s of used cars for sale to suit all budgets and needs.
The Vauxhall Combo Life comes with three trim levels across the two petrol and two diesel engine options, all with six-speed manual transmission or eight-speed auto gearbox.
The entry-level Design trim gets you DAB, Bluetooth, air con, electric adjustable and heated front mirrors, emergency braking, lane-keep assist and auto lights.
Upgrade to the mid-level Energy spec and you get an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, front and rear parking sensors, front fog lights, body coloured trim and auto wipers.
The top-end Elite trim gets you sat nav, wireless charging, reversing camera, heated front seats, climate control, 17-inch alloys and blind spot monitoring.
