The Rolls Royce Wraith is the most powerful car in the company's history, offering a sportier alternative to the usual luxury-only focused cars. But, of course, this is full of luxury too. Launched in 2013 the Wraith is the car which the company has classed as a "debonair gentleman's GT".
The construction of this car is every bit as detailed as you'd expect from the brand with body panels brazed by hand and a massive 6394 spot welds with laser-welded seams for the perfect finish to this steel framed fastback.
Power for this beast comes from a 6.6-litre twin-turbo V12 petrol engine that pushes out 624 BHP which is able to get this three door luxury wagon to a competitively fast speed. All without sacrificing on the luxury you'd expect with lots of leather and wood on that interior as standard.
There are plenty of used examples of this car on the market with lots of personalised choices at the point of purchase, meaning you should have a wide variety of finishes to pick from.
Key rivals for the Rolls Royce Wraith include the luxurious Bentley Continental GT Coupe, sports focused Ferrari GTC4Lusso or the perhaps more straight-forward Mercedes-Benz S-Class Coupe.
The Rolls Royce Wraith is a luxury car with its mighty 2,360 KG of weight yet it uses such a powerful 6.6-litre V12 that it manages to hold onto that sporty GT title too.
The controls offer a lightness while the ride quality remains as supple as you'd expect, combining to waft along in comfort, both for the driver and the passenger.
Detailing inside abounds with lots of leather and polished metal. Even the 10.3-inch infotainment screen is hidden behind a sliding wood panel to maintain that classy finish. The iDrive style control is even luxurious, made from crystal cut glass and adorned with the Spirit of Ecstacy.
The more modern versions feature voice activated sat nav plus a head-up display, all delivered in a discreet and unobtrusive way. The engine is less discreet, yet it still manages to keep relatively quiet, especially from the back seat. And should you hear it, that purr is more than welcome to most.
There are no trim options to speak of, only two model types in the Rolls Royce Wraith and the Rolls Royce Wraith Black Badge. The latter of the two comes with an all black outer and inner plus a slightly upgraded auto eight-speed ZF transmission.
The Rolls Royce Wraith offers an impressive safety tech selection with BMW passive and active safety systems onboard – there's even a front-facing night vision camera. If you plan to drive this, rather than be driven, rest assured there's a 360-degree parking camera setup and adaptive cruise control to make driving as comfortable as possible.

The Rolls Royce Wraith is a simple choice of the standard model of the Black Badge edition. In both cases you can expect all the luxuries and comforts from the brand, only the special edition is all black inside and out with a focus on being a bit more sporty. Also expect 20-inch alloys, adaptive LED headlights and a walnut burr dash finish.
As standard you can expect lots of space, including plenty of cubbies for storage, hidden cup holders and more including in-built umbrellas. The boot is a massive 470-litres and lined with deep-pile carpet. Seats are supremely comfortable throughout the car and electrically adjustable and upholstered in super soft leather for a really welcoming feel.

The Rolls Royce Wraith sits in the top end band M tax group meaning an annual charge of £570, at least, but up to £695 in some cases. If you're paying the lower annual amount you'll also need to pay a first year rate of £2,605.
The Rolls Royce Wraith starts at insurance group 50, right at the top. So expect to pay in the thousands to insure a car of this quality and value – likely through a specialist insurer.
