The ultimate keepie-uppie challenge with heycar and Alive & Kicking
Written By Andrew Brady
To celebrate our sponsorship of the Emirates FA Cup on BT Sport, and the fact that dealerships have now officially reopened, we’re kicking-off a keepie-uppie challenge for our dealer partners, and have teamed up with the brilliant Alive & Kicking, to do so.
Who are Alive & Kicking?
Alive & Kicking are one of a kind - the world’s only not-for-profit ball manufacturer. They’re based across sub-Saharan Africa where they create hundreds of ethical jobs for adults facing disadvantages. All of their profits and additional fundraising give young people and their communities access to sport and health education.
Their work is vital and is truly making a positive change. Over 42% of people in sub-Saharan Africa currently live below the poverty line (Source: Alive & Kicking, 2021). Alive and Kicking supports these communities by giving them access to fair pay, holiday and sick leave and pension schemes. Job opportunities range from the production of the balls to finance, sales, marketing and more so there’s something for everyone.
So why have we partnered with Alive & Kicking?
We recently launched ‘Lift the Cup’, an exciting new campaign to reward hard-working showroom staff with something ‘extra’ every time they sell a car through heycar. Prizes range from coffee and food vouchers to an entertainment package including a brand new TV and weekends away.
And now, we’re taking it to the next level. We’re sending our dealer partners one of the limited edition, handmade heycar footballs from Alive & Kicking directly to their dealerships - but there’s a catch! We’re challenging the dealers to show us their best keepie-uppies using the heycar football. Whether it’s wild and wacky, a solo performance or with the whole squad - we’re on the hunt for their best efforts.
As dealerships gear up for a busy period of car sales with showrooms now open, we’re showing our appreciation to their teams, who deserve to get that winning feeling.
