The Mazda CX-5 has been around for some time, and we think it's a great shame you don't see more of them on the road. A new version has just been unveiled, and will arrive on UK roads later this year. However, the outgoing model is nicely designed, and, with its well-equipped and luxurious-feeling interior, the CX-5 is an under the radar family SUV choice.
An entry level CX-5 Centre-Line comes with all the kit you need and costs just £279 a month with 0% APR on a 48-month PCP deal as Mazda dealers clear existing stock ready for the new model.

Cupra Born V2 with 0% APR and £1500 Electric Car Grant
The Cupra Born is essentially a Volkswagen ID.3 with a more furious face and sportier interior, plus a sharper driving experience. That means the Born still retains the largely excellent all-round qualities of its sibling, yet adds a bit of character that the VW is sorely lacking.
Cupra has two PCP offers on the Born, either a three-year deal with 0% APR or a 6.9% deal over four years with a hefty £7000 towards your deposit. Regardless of APR, opt for a Born in V1, V2 or V3 trim and you get the £1500 government Electric Car Grant, as with the Born V2 79kWh version we've picked here.

New Suzuki Swift Motion CVT for £119 a month with 0% APR
The latest Suzuki Swift features a much-improved interior that's packed with equipment, even on entry-level models. It's also super affordable and manages to keep the character that made its predecessors such likeable little cars.
This deal requires a £5050 deposit, but you get 0% APR over two years and monthly payments of just £119. There's even a reasonable 8000-mile per year mileage limit, giving you enough to succumb to the charms of this small hatchback.

Used 2021 Nissan Leaf Acenta for £153 a month
While some carmakers are still battling to get their first-generation electric cars to market, 2025 marks the year that the third iteration of the Nissan Leaf will arrive in showrooms. And while the new car might not be to everyone's budget, the well equipped, spacious outgoing model is worth a look on the used market as it's now quite the bargain. This one-owner Leaf is a case in point, as it has done under 34,000 miles, which means its battery warranty runs until 2029 or for over 66,000 more miles.

Ford Puma - 50,808 sales in 2025 so far. Get a Ford Puma Titanium for £333 a month with 2.9% APR and £1000 deposit contribution
The Ford Puma took home the gong for the UK's best-selling new car in 2023 and 2024, and shows no signs of stopping in 2025. As of November, Ford has sold over 150 Pumas a day this year. Picking up where the now-departed Fiesta left off, the Puma is fun to drive, surprisingly spacious for what's actually quite a small car, and very well equipped right across the range.
We've chosen a Puma Titanium, which is the entry-level trim, to keep the monthly cost low, helped by the fact that Ford will chip in £1000 towards your deposit and there's a relatively low 2.9% APR on this deal. The Kia Sportage has loads of interior space and is packed with plenty of equipment, and now benefits from a facelift with a new look designed to bring it in line with the firm's electric models. However, its no customer deposit required offer remains, and there's now a £1500 deposit contribution - £500 more than the old car. As with most PCP deals, though, you can adjust things – if you do have a deposit, or car to part exchange, you could drive down your monthly costs further.

The BYD Dolphin Surf is impressively comfortable, well equipped and surprisingly spacious for a small electric car. In fact, it's probably the best model BYD has introduced here so far, making it an appealing alternative to EVs offered by more established brands. Entry level Dolphin Surf Active models with a smaller battery start at £199 a month. However, the mid-range Boost model with a larger battery actually costs less per month thanks to more generous deposit contributions and retailer discount offers, and it benefits from 0% APR.

Best Electric Car PCP deals in December 2025
Skoda Elroq SE L 85 for £370 a month with 0% APR
The Skoda Elroq is the firm's latest EV and the smaller sibling to the Skoda Enyaq. The Elroq is perfect for small families as it has loads of interior space, it's pretty fun to drive and boasts a great range, especially now you can get the larger 82kWh battery in the cheaper SE L trim.
Skoda is offering a choice of PCP deals on the Elroq. There's a £2750 deposit contribution on a four-year 5.9% APR deal, making an SE L 85 £356 a month, or 0% APR over a 36-month term. There's a generous 10,000-mile annual limit, too, and we're featuring the Elroq SE L 85 here as it's the cheapest way to get the long-range battery. You can also pick up the car's first two services for a flat fee of £199.

Renault 4 Techno+ Comfort Range for £259 a month at 6.9% APR with £3750 Electric Car Grant
The Renault 4 is part of Renault's trio of historic car nameplates that have been reborn as EVs, with the 4 and Renault 5 shortly to by joined by the Renault Twingo. As with all three reboots, the 4 features an exterior design that borrows from the past, but remains resolutely modern, while the interiors are thoughtfully done, too, with some nice trim choices. Baguette holders are optional.
All Renault 4 models now qualify for the government's full £3750 Electric Car Grant, which means the Renault 4 range is priced from £23,445. Sadly, you no longer have the option of a two-year 0% APR deal on PCP, but we've chosen a £259 a month, four-year offer at 6.9% APR on the mid-range Techno+ trim, as it's only £1400 more deposit and £10 more a month than the entry-level car, but you get nicer wheels, interior trim, a better stereo and Google built-in.

2025 Cupra Formentor V2 for £29,490, saving £9660, or £350 a month
The Cupra Formentor was the first 'proper' Cupra, rather than the Ateca and Leon models adopted by Cupra from SEAT as it became a stand-alone brand. And pretty impressive it is, too. The Formentor blends SUV and estate to good effect, looking like little else on the road, and drives nicely, too. It's not quite as sharp as a hot hatch, but the Formentor is a nice fast family choice, made all the more appealing with a solid nearly-new discount.

The Skoda Fabia is one of the finest small cars money can buy. It's comfortable, cheap to run and features a spacious interior that can cope with four adults with ease. This 2025 Fabia benefits from Skoda's most recent round of updates to the Fabia, and is in mid-range SE L trim, which is Skoda speak for a more comfort-oriented spec.
